Hannah PLATT of Milford, CT was born on 29 Oct 1704 and married Jonathan SANFORD.
The PLATT section of the Long Island Genealogy Surname Database at
indicates that the PLATTs have as a relative
whose father Justus Roe is stated there to be "the founder of Patchouge" on Long Island.
It states that Austin Roe was married to ______ Gillette.
The first name of this Gillette can be filled in. She is LUCILLA GILLETTE, who was b at Patchogue 7 APR 1818, daughter of Zebulon Gillette. Lucilla & Austin married 24 AUG 1836. Austin was b at Patchogue 2 MAR 1808.
and Lucilla & Austin had Justin (or Justus) Roe who married Martha Ketcham.
Note: Lucilla was wrongly written in the above web pages as Lucille, but numerous independent sources record her correctly as Lucilla.
A bit more about her is also at
which writes it up thus:
Lucilla Cornelia Gillette was born on April 7, 1818 at Blue Point, Suffolk County, New York. Lucilla Cornelia Gillette was the daughter of Zebulon Gillette and Lucinda Avery. Lucilla Cornelia Gillette married Austin Roe, son of Justus Roe and Sarah Van Brunt, on August 23, 1836 at Middle Island, Suffolk County, New York.

We will appreciate it if someone can fill in for us how the connect from Austin Roe is made to PLATT. While the above-mentioned Database states it, the page does not show just how.
We would like further PLATT/GILLETTE pertinent info.
CHIEFLY, WE ARE SEEKING HELP FILLING IN MORE INFORMATION ON THE HANNAH PLATT AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE, WHO WAS WIFE TO REV. ELISHA GILLETTE.
